Recreation access decisions affect all of us – dog owners, mountain bikers, horseback riders, and many others. It’s critical that these decisions be based on legally, ethically, and scientifically sound processes.
We’d like to believe that public servants manage our public lands in a manner that complies with the law and follows good management principles. Unfortunately, this is not always the case. Therefore, it is critical that we speak up - that we let the agencies know that we are paying them to responsibly manage our lands.
Become part of the “squeaky wheel” in favor of good management. Email and phone your public servants. Then encourage your friends, family, and colleagues to do the same.
